About Christian Garbis | Garbis has developed a screenplay for a feature film about the political spectrum of the U.S. called "The Continental Revolution."
His first novel, titled "A World Without Wings," is complete and awaits representation. He lives part of the year in Yerevan, Armenia and maintains two blogs about his experiences there: Notes From Hairenik and Footprints Armenia.
In September 2013 Garbis was a featured speaker at TEDxYerevan. Watch video His short story "A Disintegrating Mind," which was adapted from the novel, made the Top 25 list in Glimmer Train's December 2012 Fiction Open. In 1994, his short story appeared in Spectrum, an annually published magazine of arts and literature printed by the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has made a number of short films, one of which, titled “The Dance,” premiered at the first annual Five-College Film Festival held in Amherst, Massachusetts in 1994. Another work, “Carriage of Dreams,” was debuted at the Third Annual AFFMA Film Festival held in September 2000 in Hollywood, California. Filmography:
